Hardly an explanation is needed!! I grew up with the Beatles and followed John’s solo career till the day he left us!! This piece of artwork is dedicated to John.

The reproduction offered here has an image area of 15.5” x 27” (39.4 cm x 68.6 cm). This print is a limited edition of 700. Produced from my original oil painting. The reproduction offered will be printed on a heavy 100lb. dull cover stock.

John Winston Ono Lennon, (9 October 1940 – 8 December 1980) was an English musician and singer-songwriter who rose to worldwide fame as one of the founding members of The Beatles, one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed acts in the history of popular music. Along with fellow Beatle Paul McCartney, he formed one of the most successful songwriting partnerships of the 20th century. The Lennon/McCartney songwriting partnership is regarded as one of the most influential and successful of the 20th century.

On 8 December 1980, John was shot at the entrance to his home. He was taken to the emergency room of nearby Roosevelt Hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival.

Ono issued a statement the next day, saying “There is no funeral for John,” ending it with the words, “John loved and prayed for the human race. Please pray the same for him.”
